Absentee Voting in Care Facilities

The State Legislature approved 2013 Wisconsin Act 159 relating to absentee voting in residential care facilities and retirement homes. Absentee voting in residential care facilities and retirement homes utilizing Special Voting Deputies took place on March 13-15, 2017.  Notices will be mailed to all facilities for proper posting for their residents/families.

Outstanding Absentee/Provisional Ballot Report

New State Law requires the posting of the number of outstanding Absentees and Provisional Ballots. Provisional ballots cast on Election Day are not counted until the required information (either proof of residence or driver license number) is provided to either the election inspector by 8 p.m. on Election Day, or to the municipal clerk by 4 p.m. on the Friday after the election.

The City of Sun Prairie had provisional voters on April 4, 2017.
Additionally, the City of Sun Prairie had outstanding absentee ballots as of 
April 4, 2017.

There are 4 voting locations used in our city, the ward you live in determines your voting locations.
